Our Commitment

At Rightcheck, we believe technology should empower people and protect their rights. We are committed to ensuring that slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour have no place in our business or supply chain. Our approach is built on transparency, accountability, and the conviction that digital innovation can help create safer, fairer workplaces.

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps we take each year to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery.

Our Business

Rightcheck provides digital identity and employment-compliance solutions to help organisations verify people ethically and efficiently. Our operations are based in the United Kingdom, and our supply chain primarily includes technology, data, and service providers who support our software, infrastructure, and client delivery.

We recognise that modern slavery can exist in any industry or geography, and we remain vigilant in assessing and addressing risk wherever it may arise.

Our Approach

We operate according to clear ethical principles that guide everything we do:

  • Freely Chosen Employment: No one works for Rightcheck or our suppliers under threat, coercion, or penalty.
  • Fair Treatment: We foster equality and respect for every individual — no discrimination, abuse, or harassment is tolerated.
  • Safe and Fair Working Conditions: We provide a safe, healthy, and supportive working environment with fair pay and reasonable hours.
  • Transparency and Integrity: We prohibit bribery, corruption, and any practices that undermine fair or lawful employment.

Technology and Transparency

Our technology is designed to strengthen ethical employment by ensuring that workers are properly identified and that employers meet their legal and moral obligations.
By enabling organisations to perform right-to-work and background checks responsibly, we help reduce the risk of exploitation within recruitment and labour supply chains.

Due Diligence and Supply Chain Oversight

We take a proactive approach to identifying and managing risk in our supply chain:

  • Supplier Code of Conduct: All suppliers must comply with our Ethical Supplier Code, which includes zero tolerance for forced or child labour.
  • Annual Declarations: Key suppliers confirm compliance with our standards each year.
  • Risk-Based Review: Suppliers in higher-risk sectors or geographies undergo enhanced screening.
  • Collaboration: We work with partners who share our commitment to ethical, transparent business.

Training and Awareness

All employees receive induction and ongoing training on ethical conduct, whistleblowing, and modern-slavery awareness. We maintain clear grievance channels and support a culture where people can raise concerns safely and in confidence.

Measuring Our Progress

We monitor our performance through:

  • Annual review of our policies and employment practices
  • Supplier assessments and compliance monitoring
  • Staff feedback and incident reporting mechanisms
  • Continuous improvement targets, including 100% staff training and pre-engagement checks for new suppliers

Governance and Responsibility

The Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for our modern slavery strategy and compliance. They ensure that our policies remain effective, that corrective actions are taken when needed, and that we continually improve.

Continuous Improvement

We view the prevention of modern slavery as a continuous journey. Each year, we review our approach, learn from new insights, and adapt our systems to reflect best practice in ethical technology and supply-chain transparency.

We welcome feedback and collaboration to strengthen our collective impact. If you have concerns or suggestions relating to modern slavery and ethical conduct within our operations or supply chain, please contact us confidentially at ethics@rightcheck.io
